Starting from humble beginnings with Christian von Koenigsegg in 1994, the hypercar manufacturer has now blossomed into a world-record setter and technological powerhouse that has resulted in many iconic performance cars built in limited numbers. Utilizing the same carbon fiber monocoque structure with aluminum honeycomb, additional improvements lead to an increase in downforce to 450kg at 250km/h with active aerodynamics. The removable carbon fiber roof is storable in the front trunk when not in use, allowing the duality of a coupe or open top as needed. The aggressive aerodynamics package was lifted from the One:1, and other lightweighting additions were carried out that lead to Koenigsegg coining that the Agera RS was “the ultimate track tool” due to its track-optimized technologies. With only 25 examples built, it is an extremely limited production and exceedingly rare.One of the most coveted upgrades available to the Agera RS was the Megawatt package, increasing the horsepower from the standard 1,160 horsepower from its Koenigsegg-designed 5.0L twin-turbo V8 engine, up to 1,341 horsepower, a reportedly $245,500 upgrade option.
